  • In the Advanced search form some buttons do not have quite enough contrast, whilst in the search results there is an issue with colour contrast in some of the material type and other icons. The latter also affects the search result help page.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

In the Advanced search form some buttons do not have quite enough contrast, whilst in the search results there is an issue with text colour contrast in some of the material type icons. They don't meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 (contrast - minimum). We anticipate resolving this by July 2024.

Some of our pages may be difficult to navigate using a keyboard or screen reader. This does not meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role value). We anticipate resolving this by July 2024.

How we tested this website

The website was last tested in August 2023. The test was carried out by Jisc.

We tested all search interface pages and supporting web pages.

What we're doing to improve accessibility

We are rewriting the Cataloguing interface and will work on the issues identified as part of that process. We will carry out automated testing of new features to avoid introducing accessbility problems. We will undertake regular service testing and respond to any accessibility issues identified.
